The 31st National Lotus Flower Exhibition opened on June 26, 2017 in Daguan Park, Kunming city, Yunnan province. Over 500 lotus flower species, more than 10,000 potted lotus plants, and more than 13 hectares of aquatic lotus flowers are on display. This exhibition is the highest level and the most influential event as far as lotus flower cultural exchange is concerned. It has attracted 28 Chinese provinces and 12 foreign countries such as the US and Russia. Daguan Park, in which the event is held, is noted for its lotus flower cultivation traditions and is one of the six best sites in Yunnan to enjoy lotus flower scenery.[Photo by Li Ming/Asianewsphoto]
