An exhibition, entitled "Rhythm of Hongwu Emperor – Small place names and big history in Nanjing", was unveiled at Mingxiaoling Museum in Nanjing city, capital of East China's Jiangsu province, July 5, 2017.

The exhibition tries to dig into the history and stories behind politics, economy, military and culture relevant to Hongwu Emperor in Nanjing.

The new Mingxiaolong Museum was built in accordance with the natural environment of the Xiaoling Mausoleum, adopting a construction philosophy of uniting heaven and humanity.

The Xiaoling Mausoleum is the tomb of the Hongwu Emperor or Zhu Yuanzhang (1328-1398), the founder of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).

Along with the Ming Tombs north of Beijing, the Xiaoling Mausoleum was inscribed by UNESCO as part of the World Heritage Site "Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties" in 2003.
