Restorer Li Xiaolong, along with rest of his coworkers, works in the cultural relics protection and repairs unit at the Fuxi Temple in Tianshui city of Northwest China's Gansu province, July 16, 2017.

The center, belonging to the Tianshui Museum, is renowned for its ability to restore cultural objects, including bronze ware, porcelain, Chinese paintings and calligraphy.

The job of restorers – preserving precious cultural heritage through modern scientific methods – is important as cultural relics are irreplaceable resources and hold a record of China's history and civilization.
