Sopexa, an international marketing and communication company dedicated to food and drink, recently appointed Augustin Missoffe as its new director of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The company has promoted cultural and especially food exchanges between China and France. Missoffe, based in Shanghai, will be responsible for sales management and business development for the agency and its four offices in the area, located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

Missoffe has been living in China for seven years. He graduated from the European Business School Paris in 2010. He started out in organizational and management consulting, but recently moved into digital marketing.

Missoffe joined KLB Group China in 2012 and was appointed director of China in 2013. He took the post of general manager for the Asia-Pacific region at Phoceis Asia, a mobile and digital marketing agency, in 2015, where he set up the company's China office.

Before joining Sopexa, he has been a member of the Steering Committee of French Tech Shanghai, and launched a new range of digital strategy and social media services, such as on WeChat, according to Sopexa.

Sopexa CEO Jean Rene Buisson said: “We are counting on Augustin Missoffe to develop the agency's activity in the area. With his solid professional network in China and his proven experience in management and sales, he brings all the ingredients for success.”

Buisson also said Missoffe's enthusiasm and dynamism will be complemented by bi-cultural staff with inside knowledge of the food and drink sector.
