Construction worker couple takes wedding photos at job site
Most newlyweds would want to have their wedding photos taken with spectacular scenery in the background, but a couple born in 1995 has gone in a different direction — taking their wedding photos at a construction site.
Guo Chao and Xu Jing are construction workers for a road in Gaoyou, East China's Jiangsu province. Due to a lack of time, they had to take their wedding photos at the construction site, inadvertently gaining widespread popularity and interest.
Guo and Xu both graduated from Nanjing Vocational Institute of Transport Technology, Guo one year earlier. They were employed by Jiangsu Ruiwo Construction Group after graduation.
Guo, a native of Gaoyou, said he fell in love with Xu, who is from Nantong, immediately when she came to the company last year. "When I first saw her, I thought she was a good and lovely girl," Guo said.
Both of them worked at an expansion project of the No 333 provincial road in Gaoyou, in different sections. Thanks to Guo's carefulness, Xu gradually adapted to the life at the construction site.
Xu said what attracted her most to Guo was his patience at work, which led her to believe he is a man who could be trusted. After a year of dating, they decided to walk down the aisle in May this year.
"When we talked about taking wedding photos, in the beginning, I wanted to take them while traveling, "Xu said. But the project was at a critical moment, and they had no time to do it — what's more, their wedding was postponed to September.
The flurry of activity gave Xu a novel idea. "We fell in love during the project at the construction site, so I wanted to record our love here," she said.
With two sets of simple suits and safety helmets, the couple had a special wedding photoshoot at the site.
