Police Tactical Unit, an online series remake of director Johnnie To's popular crime thriller franchise PTU, has aroused nostalgia among fans since it began its run on the streaming site Youku on May 6.

The first episode has drawn reviews most of which center on the stars.

Led by Hong Kong singer-actor Raymond Lam, the 30-episode drama also features Suet Lam, who acted in four PTU films, actresses Charlene Choi and Kingdom Yuen, as well as actors Alex Fong and Patrick Tam.

The story depicts the personal lives and missions of members of the unit, a division of Hong Kong Police force which provides an immediate manpower reserve for use in large-scale emergencies.
