On March 8, a silver-haired man in his 80s was lifted from an ambulance in front of the hospital. When he coughed, his chest seemed to strain and he had a helpless look in his eyes.

Zhang immediately went to comfort the man and told him that if he trusted the PLA and the hospital staff members he would quickly recover.

A few days later, when the senior had recovered and was about to leave the hospital, he noticed Zhang.

He pointed at him and said: "I remember you. When I arrived, here, you helped disinfect me and told me not to worry. Thank you!"

When they heard this, the man's children, who were standing outside the quarantine zone, bowed deeply to Zhang.

"At that moment, I had an indescribable joy in my heart and felt more motivated than ever to do my work," the soldier said.

"I believe that with all our efforts, the battle is sure to be won in the near future."
