11?new?COVID-19?cases?on?mainland
A total of 11 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection were reported on Saturday on the Chinese mainland, bringing the number up to 82,827, along with no fatality, according to the National Health Commission.
With five locally transmitted cases occurring in Heilongjiang province and one in Guangdong province, the rest of the five infections were imported cases, bringing the tally to 1,634 as of Saturday midnight, said the commission.
Of the 1,634 imported cases, 694 patients were still under treatment, including 22 severe cases, while 940 patients had been discharged from hospitals after recovery by the end of Saturday with no death reported.
Also on Saturday, 48 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery, while the number of severe cases stood at 51. A total of 77,394 people had been discharged from hospitals after recovery as of Saturday midnight.
With no new suspected cases reported Saturday, a total of 12 people, 10 of whom are imported ones, are still suspected of being infected with the virus, it added.
Health authorities said that 8,308 close contacts were still under medical observation. On Saturday, 779 people were discharged from medical observation.
The Chinese mainland also reported 30 new asymptomatic cases on Saturday, along with nine discharged from medical observation. So far, a total of 1000 asymptomatic patients infected with the virus are still put under medical observation, 151 of whom were detected from inbound arrivals, according to the commission.
By the end of Saturday, 1,037 confirmed cases including four deaths had been reported in the Hong Kong, 45 confirmed cases in the Macao, and 429 in Taiwan including six deaths. And 753 patients in Hong Kong, 28 in Macao and 275 in Taiwan have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Hubei province, the hard-hit region on the Chinese mainland, has reported zero local transmitted case or new fatality on Saturday.
The province also saw 11 patients discharged from hospital after recovery on Saturday, bringing the total number of discharged patients in the province to 68,128 it said, adding that Hubei had no suspected cases as of Saturday midnight.
