Intl intellectual property exchange launched in Beijing
BEIJING -- The 2020 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) concluded on Wednesday with the launch of an intellectual property (IP) exchange in the Chinese capital.
The Beijing Intellectual Property Exchange, operated by China Technology Exchange, will take advantage of the capital's policies, resources and prime location to become an important hub for the international IP cross-border transaction market.
"The Beijing IP exchange will set up an international IP trading platform and establish a cooperation mechanism with national IP organizations. Original IP achievements will be protected," said Wang Hong, deputy mayor of Beijing.
During CIFTIS, the exchange released its first batch of high-quality scientific and technological achievements, including dozens in the anti-epidemic field.
The fair, which kicked off on Sept 4, is one of the world's largest and most comprehensive events for trade in services, attracting 18,000 enterprises and institutions from 148 countries and regions.
