The Beijing Xinfadi wholesale market, which supplies more than 80 percent of the capital's agricultural produce, resumed full operations after the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday.
Daily sales have doubled the level of the same period last year. According to the market, 6,500 vendors are back in business, and more than 20,000 tons of vegetables a day are being sold.
Zhang Yuxi, president of the market, said the vegetable supply is sufficient to meet demand with stable prices.
