All COVID-19 tests from Shanghai Disneyland return negative
All staff and visitors at Shanghai Disneyland and Disneytown have tested negative for COVID-19, the Shanghai municipal government's epidemic prevention and control taskforce said on Tuesday.
As of 8 am on Tuesday, the nuclei acid tests of 66,460 people and 1,016 environmental samples returned negative, according to a social media post by the office of Shanghai epidemic prevention and control leading group.
The massive testing campaign began on Sunday evening when Disneyland visitors were guided to receive on-site tests before leaving the park. Those who have been to Disneyland and Disneytown over the weekend (Oct 30 to 31) have also been requested to report to their affiliated organizations and take COVID-19 tests at designated hospitals and clinics.
Shanghai Disney Resort announced that Disneyland and Disneytown would be temporarily closed on Monday and Tuesday as part of efforts to aid epidemiological investigations.
