British Columbia brings its breathtaking natural beauty to China
Destination British Columbia, which promotes the Canadian province as a tourist destination, is bringing about 100 livestream sessions on various themes on Chinese social media until May 21.
On April 22, the Earth Day — an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement, the tourism bureau launched a four-hour livestream for Chinese netizens to showcase the overwhelming scenes of lakes and mountains from a helicopter, the gorgeous cherry blossoms and the touching stories of Indigenous people and the forest.
Hu Ying, who's in charge of the bureau's marketing in China, said that British Columbia boasts city scenery, Great Bear Rainforest, rich biodiversity, outdoor activities and tasty wines.
The bureau is cooperating with China's online travel agencies Trip.com and Tuniu.com this year to promote good-quality content such as travel tips, and news of the province's tourism sector.
