Chinese team wins big in BRICS skills tourney
The Chinese team won 79 medals at the 2022 BRICS Skills Competition in Xiamen, Fujian province which ended on Sunday, ranking first among all involved delegations.
The three-day competition which started Friday received nearly 2,500 competitors from 1,600 teams from BRICS countries including Russia, Brazil and India.
Twenty-six events such as intelligent services robotics and drone operation were held over the competition. Chinese contestants took part on-site in Xiamen and international contestants joined the competition online.
According to organizers, outstanding competitors will be granted with a "skills passport" which is a recognized certificate among BRICS countries and can help holders continue their work in these countries and regions.
The competition started its preliminary competition in May, which attracted nearly 20,000 applicants from 6,200 domestic teams and 3,500 international teams.
