Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge has bettered his own world record, clocking 2:01:09 in the Berlin Marathon to shave 30 seconds off his previous best-mark of 2:01:39 from the same course in 2018.
Kipchoge, 38 and a two-time Olympic champion, has won 17 of the last 19 marathon races to bolster his claim as the greatest runner in history over 26.2 miles.
He said the limits are to be broken after shattering his own record.
