Sino-French co-produced documentaries debut on CCTV-9
The two Sino-French co-produced documentaries, Beyond the Far Side, the Dawn of the Space Revolution and Golden Monkeys: Braving the Impossible, will debut on CCTV-9 on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
Hosted by the physicist Christophe Galfard, the documentary, Beyond the Far Side, the Dawn of the Space Revolution, offers a global perspective on the unique significance and global impact of China's exploration of the moon.
It also marks the first instance where the China National Space Administration has allowed an international film crew access, sharing unparalleled opportunities and challenges in this scientific endeavor.
The documentary, Golden Monkeys: Braving the Impossible, casts light on the stories of two golden-monkey families living in a primitive forest at the altitude of 3,400 meters in the Shennongjia National Park in Hubei province, capturing the exquisite and untamed beauty of the mountains, forests and wild animals using detailed and intimate imagery. The visuals provide a comprehensive and vivid portrayal of the natural environment.
Shennongjia is currently home to around 1,500 Sichuan golden snub-nosed monkeys, and their population is steadily growing. These monkeys' vivid and captivating tales illustrate the emotional and nuanced nature of the wilderness. Moreover, their rarely seen daily lives serve as a testament to China's commendable accomplishments in preserving its natural ecology and protecting its wildlife.
