Top 10 automakers in China by Q1 sales

China sold 6.08 million vehicles from January to March, down 6.7 percent year-on-year. Five automakers sold over 200,000 units at retail, according to AskCI.com citing the statistics from China Passenger Car Association.
Among them, BYD had the largest retail sales volume of 508,700 units, with a market share of 11.9 percent. FAW-Volkswagen and Changan Auto ranked second and third, with sales of 368,800 and 302,900 units respectively.
Geely, SAIC Volkswagen, GAC Toyota, SAIC GM, BMW Brilliance Automotive, FAW Toyota and Dongfeng Nissan rounded out the list.
