Baotou, the city of rare earth in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is accelerating the upgrading of the industry chain with the help of robot technology, the 2023 “A Date with China” international media tour discovered.

Inner Mongolia Robot Co，Ltd (BKJD Robot), founded in 2021, is a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the research, development, and production of digitized and intelligent equipment and systems with industrial robots as the core.

With the help of grinding robots, robot palletizers and robot inspectors, workers can be spared some dangerous jobs. The robots made by the company have been introduced in the iron, aluminum, wind power, photovoltaic and auto parts industries.

BKJD Robot was founded by the faculty of five domestic universities and has become the dream land for local young technicians. A robot research and development center was established in the rare earth high-technology district in May to become the first of this kind in the northwest China and local favorable policies have been adopted to attract talents from all over the country.
