The Chinese version of an autobiography of the late Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto, named How Many More Times Will You Watch the Full Moon Rise, has been published recently by Beijing-based CITIC Press Group.

As a solo artist and a member of Yellow Magic Orchestra, Sakamoto influenced a number of electronic music genres and won Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe awards for his creations.

In 2009, Sakamoto published his first autobiography which recounts the 57 years of his life up to then, and this new book is about his retrospection on the later time.

In 2020, Sakamoto was diagnosed with rectal cancer and was told by a doctor that he would only have half a year of life. Realizing the urgency, he found he had more things to tell, and the book is the result of that. He passed away on March 28 this year.

The book shows his thoughts on artistic creation and social activities, history of his family and his connection with family members, his communication with younger artists, as well as his anticipation of the world after his death.
