At the event, the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Beijing Lao She Literature Academy presented Collected Works of Lao She and works of Beijing literature to Cambridge University Library.

Authors including Li Er, Xu Zechen, Qiao Ye, Zhou Xiaofeng engaged in in-depth and friendly discussions with sinologists, translators, and librarians regarding their works and translations.

The event was hosted by the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and co-organized by CNPIEC, the Beijing Lao She Literature Academy, Cambridge University Library, and the Needham Research Institute.

The symposiums on Chinese literature translation aim to promote cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and the UK by strengthening the development of literary collections in libraries, translation, publishing, and cultural exchange activities.
