To meet the financial needs of elderly customers, the Tianqiao branch of Qilu Bank in Jinan, Shandong province, worked together with the Chengfengqiao police station of Jinan public security bureau and the Shimao Tiancheng center community in Guanzhaying street to organize an outdoor activity under the theme of "protecting the elderly's wallets and building a harmonious community".

The branch provided legal and regulatory publicity on combating telecommunications fraud and money laundering activities to elderly customers in the community. The staff members distributed promotional materials and answered questions. The police officers arrived at the scene to explain anti-fraud cases to the elderly group, providing support for the financial knowledge publicity.

To ensure a successful publicity event, the Tianqiao branch formulated an activity implementation plan in advance after discussion with the Chengfengqiao police station and the Shimao Tiancheng center community. They defined the objectives, schedule, activity format and related works needed for the event.

The chosen location was at the central square of the north zone of Shimao Tiancheng, which is close to some populated areas such as kindergartens and pharmacies, to cover a large flow of people and a high number of residents in the vicinity.

The event not only enabled a large number of elderly customers to gain financial knowledge, enhanced their legal awareness and improve their anti-fraud skills, but also provided an opportunity for the branch to strengthen cooperation with the locals. Through promoting financial knowledge, the branch pledged to continue to provide higher-quality service to elderly customers.
