On Friday, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra mesmerized audiences at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing with a captivating concert featuring Vineta Sareika-Volkner, the concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker.

Guided by conductor Xia Xiaotang, the orchestra delivered a spellbinding performance of Johannes Brahms' timeless masterpiece, the Violin Concerto in D Major, Op 77, a cherished piece among virtuoso violinists. The evening's musical journey continued with a powerful rendition of Richard Strauss' epic composition, Ein Heldenleben (A Hero's Life), showcasing the orchestra's exceptional talent and artistry.

Notably, Sareika-Volkner, who secured the first concertmaster position at the Berliner Philharmoniker in February 2023, made her debut at the NCPA, leaving a lasting impression with her remarkable skill and artistry on the prestigious stage.
