In recent years, Liancheng county has attracted several Taiwan baseball equipment manufacturing companies and has been promoting youth baseball. It has held 23 baseball events, providing a platform for exchanges and competition for young people from both sides.

Wang Ling-lin, president of the Eastern Group, one the tournament's sponsors, said that it is meaningful that students from both sides are participating in the event, and it's hoped in the future that youth from both sides can form a team to compete in a world competition.
