Coal businesses see record high in social responsibility
A record high of 73 coal enterprises released their social responsibility reports at the "coal industry corporate social responsibility report launch" event this year in Beijing on Thursday, organized by the China National Coal Association.
Marking its 13th consecutive year since its inception in 2012, the event has seen growing enterprise participants presenting their social responsibility reports.
This year, the 73 coal enterprises coming forward to share their social responsibility initiatives include China Energy Investment Group, China National Coal Group Corp and Inner Mongolia Yitai Group Co Ltd.
Sun Shouren, deputy head of the association, said there is a cohort of responsible and value-driven coal enterprises that have significantly contributed to the sector's high-quality growth, and he hoped these companies will continue to uphold their social responsibilities and create more social value.
The association also unveiled the Blue Book on Social Responsibility of the Coal Industry (2024) at the event, which showcased 11 exemplary social responsibility initiatives in the Chinese coal industry.
