The exhibition symbolizes the unique painting background and important aesthetic spirit of gongbi painting. As an important cultural calling card of China, gongbi painting has always been highly regarded and appreciated worldwide. This exhibition aims to build a bridge between Chinese art and world art through contemporary gongbi painting, tell stories of Chinese culture, and further deepen the world's understanding of the country.

"Culture is not only a bond that connects people worldwide in friendship but also a driving force for deepening cooperation among nations. As an ancient country with a brilliant civilization, China is willing to strengthen cultural exchanges and cooperation with Luxembourg, a country known for its cultural diversity and inclusiveness, to facilitate mutual understanding and coexistence between Chinese and Luxembourgian cultures,'' Wang Yuan said in his opening ceremony speech.

"This exhibition not only provides a window for the people of Luxembourg to understand contemporary Chinese art and culture but also builds a new bridge for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Luxembourg. We believe that through such exhibitions, the people of China and Luxembourg will further connect and resonate with each other. At the same time, we hope that Chinese artists can draw inspiration from Luxembourg's rich world cultural heritage through this opportunity, create more vivid works, and continuously innovate and develop Chinese traditional culture," said Wang.

Zhou Qingfu stated in his speech that the exhibition is a result of deep cultural exchange between the China Academy of Art and Luxembourg since the Fourth China-Europe Cultural Dialogue held in Luxembourg in 2011. Holding a contemporary gongbi painting exhibition in Luxembourg, a country full of European charm, not only showcases contemporary Chinese gongbi art but also serves as a grand event for cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Europe. Through this exhibition, he hopes to present the diverse development of contemporary Chinese gongbi painting, use contemporary gongbi painting as a bridge for communication between Chinese art and world art, transcend geographical and cultural boundaries between East and West, learn from each other, and seek resonance.
