State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company's Wucheng branch powers electric surfing event
With the conclusion of the final round of the adult women's electric surfboard team obstacle race on Thursday, the 2024 National Electric Surfboard Championship came to a close. State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company's Wucheng branch was chosen as the power supplier for this event.
In recent years, Jinhua in Zhejiang province has taken the opportunity to build itself into the "Chinese electric surfing city" and actively hosted various water sports events. The 2024 National Electric Surfboard Championship started on Monday at Huhaitang Park in Jinhua, attracting 28 teams from across the country with a total of 131 athletes. The competitors sliced through the waves, presenting a visual feast that combined speed and passion.
Upon receiving the task of ensuring the event's power supply, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company's Wucheng branch attached great importance to it. They immediately formed an electrical work team and developed detailed power supply and emergency plans. The company gathered information about the specific timing, location and scale of the event, considered the power consumption around the venue and negotiated with the event organizers to devise a power supply plan tailored to the equipment, ensuring the event's safety with zero accidents.
Before commencing on-site power protection work, the company conducted risk assessments on the power lines and equipment involved through means such as infrared temperature measurement and dedicated patrols. A 400 kilovolt-ampere generator was set up a day in advance at the Huhaitang Park venue to ensure normal emergency power supply. Throughout the event, the company stationed personnel to conduct real-time monitoring and investigation of key power supply equipment and lines, providing solid support for the event's power needs.
In the next step, the branch will summarize the experience of ensuring power supply for this event, focusing on high-quality service and safe power supply. They aim to inject new momentum into accelerating the construction of the "Chinese electric surfing city" with higher-quality power support and more efficient services.
