Fujian-Taiwan travels exceed 1m this year
As of Oct 19, the passenger flow of the "Mini Three Links" routes across the Taiwan Strait has exceeded 1 million for this year, a year-on-year increase of 87.6 percent, according to a Xinhua report.
Since the beginning of the year, personnel exchanges between Fujian and Taiwan have shown an upward trend, with the frequency of flights and flow of passengers on the "Mini Three Links" route, significantly increasing.
At present, the number of flights on the four "Mini Three Links" routes in Fujian have reached a maximum of 182 per week from 26 per week since its resumption in 2023.
On Oct 13, the Xiamen-Kinmen "Mini Three Links" passenger route inspected over 5,000 inbound and outbound passengers in a single day, setting a new record since 2023.
It was also reported that in the first three quarters of this year, Xiamen border authorities inspected a total of 1.42 million passengers traveling between Fujian and Taiwan, and 650,000 passengers from Taiwan entering the ports in Fujian province, an increase of 74.6 percent and 73.5 percent year-on-year respectively.
In order to promote more convenient cross-Strait personnel exchanges, the Xiamen entry exit frontier inspection station closely monitors real-time traffic at ports, open up sufficient inspection channels, implement innovative inspection modes and further enhance the port's customs clearance guarantee capabilities.
