Top 10 most valuable Chinese brands in technology

The total value of the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands rose 13 percent to $525.6 billion last year despite China's slowing economic growth, according to the sixth annual ranking announced on Monday by global communications group WPP and global brand agency Millward Brown.

Tencent remains China's most valuable brand, growing its brand value 24 percent to $82.1 billion. Other tech brands such as Baidu and Huawei are also among the top 10 most valuable Chinese brands. Two tech brands, content provider LeTV (32) and gaming platform NetEase (40), are the highest risers, increasing in value by 81 percent and 73 percent, respectively.

Technology brands account for 27 percent of the total value of China's Top 100, up from 16 percent just two years ago. Their growth has boosted the strength of the market-driven brands, which for the first time ever contributed more than half (51%) of the value of the China Top 100.
