Eight Trigrams Park is located in the center of Eight Trigrams Town in Teks County, Yili Kazakh autonomous prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. It is the only town in the world constructed according to the pattern of Eight Trigrams, a set of symbolic signs created in ancient China and elaborated by the Book of Changes, or I-Ching (Yi Jing).

The book was first developed in Zhou Dynasty (1,100-771 BC). It divides the world into Yin and Yang. Yin represents weak, conservative or retiring things, while Yang represents things that are active, enterprising and strong.

Eight Trigrams park consists of a Museum, Painting and Calligraphy Academy, the King Wen Wang Bronze Statue, Great Yi Jing Tablet Corridor, Painting and Calligraphy Corridor, the Gate of Sun and Moon, Artificial Lake, Taiji Watermill and a miniature landscape of the Eight Trigrams City.

The museum now treasures up 117 pieces of precious cultural relics unearthed in Teks County. It also houses more than 9,000 domestic and foreign paintings and calligraphic works from the 1993 "Eight-Trigrams Cup" International Painting and Calligraphy Competition.
