Established in 1991, the Sichuan TV Festival is one of Asia's most reputed international festivals that prioritize markets for television while awarding those who have excelled in the industry.

This year's focus will include, "Being global and authoritative in judging, professional in content, extensive in resources, participatory in activities and to provide a comprehensive platform for awards, market exchanges and professional forums," said Zhao.

The "Gold Panda" Award from the Sichuan TV Festival is one of the most international, professional and influential awards in Asia and is always a highlight of the festival. The festival competition is divided into four categories: Documentary, TV Drama, Animation and Student Projects. This year, the "Gold Panda" award will also collaborate with CCTV-9's documentary series "China on the Move" to issue a special award that recognizes documentary filmmaking. A total of 5,135 entries from 76 countries have already been received.

To reach a more global audience, this year's festival will host a series called "International Theme Day," featuring countries such as Australia, Germany, Finland, Russia, Denmark, Britain and Thailand.
