Crazy Kisses

Who knew you had to be an acrobat to get kissed in China? That’s what the contestants looked like at a kissing contest this week at a modern shopping mall in the ancient city of Xi’An. For a prize of 888 yuan, the couples had to strike a pose, which resulted in the crazy kisses.

Center stage

How do you upstage a former famous member of the Beatles, and a US president? Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang was at center stage this month for a sing-a-long at the White House in the US. That’s Barack Obama, the US President , on one side and former Beatle Paul McCartney on the other, singing along to “Hey Jude.”

And by the way, parents, according to Lang Lang, he might want your children to watch cartoons. Lang Lang remembers when he was only two years old, watching the cartoon, Tom and Jerry.
