Guo Jinlong, Party secretary of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee, visited Zhongguancun Science Park with Wang Anshun, deputy Party secretary of the committee, on the morning of April 20. He urged Zhongguancun to promote science and technology industrialization and systematic innovation in the science park.
Officials inspected the development pattern and development vision of Jingdong Mall, China's biggest self-run business-to-customer company. Guo said developing e-commerce would make sense for business model transformation and structure adjustment in Beijing. He hoped that the park could make full use of Internet technologies and information-based means to better protect consumer rights.
Jingdong Mall has 100 million registered users to date, and closes deal valued at 3,488 yuan ($565.75) per second. The company's expected transactions this year will total 110 billion yuan.
Guo Jinlong also visited a key State-level semiconductor lightening laboratory located in the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The lab gives full play to the advantages of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and reflects the innovation of the industrial system and mechanism.
The establishment of Zhongguancun Science Park has two major tasks – to industrialize science and technologies and to promote industrial system and mechanism innovation, setting up a platform to unite all scientific sources.
Guo also visited CAXA, a market leader in industry software and service in China. The company provides services for over 30,000 companies and 3,000 colleges and occupational schools. Its independent research and development of a PLM platform breaks the monopoly of foreign software giants in the Chinese market.
Guo praised the enterprise's insights in development and said the Internet marketing, network design and application of network manufacturing in the future are crucial for the industry. Guo wished the company could achieve greater progress in the information era.
