Zhongguancun Innovation Sub-Exhibition was a highlight of this year's Beijing International High-Tech Expo, with over 150 companies from Zhongguancun Science Park, including 60 innovation pioneers, participating in the event.
The sub-exhibition demonstrated the role of the science park in leading reform and innovation, facilitating the transformation of economic development, and promoting ecological civilization in China.
The park focuses on several emerging industries with strategic importance, such as the new generation Internet, mobile Internet, and advanced equipment manufacturing. New technologies and products as well as innovative solutions that are seen as "green, "smart and eco-friendly" were also introduced in the exhibition, demonstrating the concept of a "smart lifestyle and ecological homeland".
The exhibition was divided into three parts in a total area of 3,200 square meters. This year's event focused on promoting innovation by highlighting the park's recent achievements in integrating resources, building platforms, establishing a pro-business environment and promoting emerging industries.
This year's exhibition theme of "eco homeland" also highlighted new solutions for air pollution and water pollution and demonstrated the concept of a "smart lifestyle" by showcasing smart technologies including new generation Internet, mobile Internet and 4G mobile telecommunication as well as products like smart phones, 3D printers and unmanned helicopters.
"Micro consumption" was one of the key words at the sub-exhibition that received much attention. The average energy consumption per 10,000 yuan ($1,632) across the country stands at 0.79, while the figure in Zhongguancun is only 0.08, which is proof of the advantages of its green development mode and well-organized layout pattern.
