Peru’s President Ollanta Moisés Humala Tasso took part in an inauguration ceremony for a new Peru Research Center at Hebei Normal University, on April 8, at the Beijing Public Foreign Affairs Cultural Communication Center. This is the first research institute that Peru has established in a foreign university.
Jiang Chunlan, the president of Hebei Normal University, said the research center will be used for the study of Peruvian culture, education, politics, and its economy, and added, “I hope the center will be a bridge for communication and exchanges between the Chinese and Peruvian people.”
In addressing the assembly, Humala Tasso explained that the center will be good way to solve language problems in Sino-Latin relations and increase mutual understanding between the two countries.
