The?ancient city of Pingyao, Shanxi province, has recently been improving its tourist business through cultural, more innovative activity, to attract people from both China and abroad.

It has put on a large show entitled "Youjian Pingyao" (See Pingyao again) to provide tourists with a major feast of culture, which employs artistry to display Pingyao county’s culture and get greater approval from audiences. Pingyao has also put on a " Chinese New Year" in Pingyao”for seven consecutive years, with quite a bit of success, bringing thousands of tourists from the mainland and abroad to Pingyao each year to celebrate Spring Festival. This has become a sort of calling card for the entire province.
