A business delegation from Shanxi province is attending the fifth China-Eurasia Expo (CAE expo) in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, from Sept 20 to 25.
More than 160 business representatives from Shanxi are taking part in the expo, six of which are exhibiting products, such as ceramics, glass, elevators and arc welding robots.
The Shanxi exhibition area, covering 308 square meters, is divided into two parts. One demonstrates the government’s investment policies and environment as well as achievements in supporting Xinjiang in its development. The other involves exhibiting Shanxi's leading companies in hardware, food, electromechanical and light industries.
Xinjiang is an economic hub on the new Eurasian continental bridge, connecting Shanxi with the international market in Western Asia and Eastern Europe. Shanxi is aiming to enhance the reputation of its enterprises and brands through the expo, according to the local board of investment promotion.
This year's CAE expo is themed on sharing and developing, and aims to further cooperation between China and countries along the Silk Road. More than 2,000 companies from 57 countries and regions participate in the event.
