To let more people experience the Spring Festival atmosphere in the traditional town, local government has organized "Experience the Spring Festival in Mashan" activities. Besides the delicious snacks and colorful performances on Jan 23, visitors are welcome to taste yuanxiao (glutinous rice balls), guess lantern riddles and watch performances of intangible heritages such as the mussel dance and danghuchuan (a dance that imitates rowing a boat) on Feb 21, the day before the Lantern Festival in Heping village in Mashan.
