Gisela Dulko of Argentina and Flavia Pennetta of Italy were listed as top seed in China Open, but the pair failed to show any sign of domination, losing 7-2 in the tiebreaker of the opening set.

It seemed the top seeds finally found their rhythm as they won the second set 6-1 to make the score even. However, the decider turned close again with Chuang/Govortsova winning 10-7 to secure the one hour, 44 minutes victory.

The men's doubles final will be staged on Sunday. American Byran brothers, top seeds of the tournament, will meet 4th seeded Mariusz Fyearstenberg/Marcin Matkowski of Poland.
