PRESIDENT XI JINPING:

- China always supports Somalia upholding its sovereignty, dignity and territorial integrity, and has provided support to the African Union Mission in Somalia for a long time, and actively urges the international community to support and help Somalia.

- China stands ready to work with Somalia to uphold political mutual trust, and understand and support each other on issues related to their own core interests and major concerns to bring bilateral ties to a new stage and jointly safeguard the legitimate interests of developing countries.

- China is willing to assist Somalia with reconstruction and socioeconomic development, and encourages firms from both nations to cooperate in fields like farming, fisheries and healthcare. China supports Mogadishu in raising its capacity to fight terrorism.

SOMALIAN PRESIDENT HASSAN SHEIKH MOHAMUD:

- Somalia-China relations have been based on mutual understanding and respect since they established diplomatic ties in 1960.

- China has provided assistance to Somalia in building important facilities for people's well-being, including highways and hospitals, and Somalia wants to continue to get support from China in upholding national security and rebuilding the national economy.
