China Civil Affairs University launched with 25 undergraduate majors
China's first university in the field of civil affairs education was officially established in Beijing on Friday, with 25 undergraduate majors, Xinhua News Agency reported.
The majors offered by the China Civil Affairs University include smart healthcare management, nursing, social work and modern funeral management, Xinhua said.
The university, which has two campuses — one in Beijing's Daxing district and the other in Yanjiao township, Hebei province — covers a total area of 57 hectares. It has 12 key laboratories of provincial and ministerial level, three skills master studios of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, over 160 specialized training rooms, and more than 300 off-campus training bases with deep cooperation between the university and enterprises.
In May, the Ministry of Education approved the establishment of the university, which is currently the only undergraduate-level vocational school organized by a national ministry.
