這是一個(gè)固定表達(dá)，意思是“何況，更不要說(shuō)……” 相當(dāng)于let alone，例如：
1) I didn't even see your
brother, much less speak to him. 我連見(jiàn)都沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)你弟弟，更別說(shuō)跟他說(shuō)話了。
2) I dare not speak to
him, much less express my feelings to him. 我連話都不敢跟他說(shuō)，更別說(shuō)是表達(dá)感情了。
4. look beyond the paint
此句的意思是：別拘泥于圖像本身。

1. Soutine
Chaim Soutine，
